What is the Tennessee Prayer Breakfast?

The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is an annual event held in the spring during each session of the Tennessee General Assembly in which citizens from across the state are invited to gather together to pray for our governmental officials and state leaders.

What is the general content of the morning’s program?

This event includes fellowship over breakfast, prayer, music, scripture reading, and an inspirational message by a featured speaker.  The music portion typically features a Christian recording artist performing with the Nashville Choir.  Community leaders read scripture and lead the prayers for our governmental officals and military.   

Who presents and produces the Tennessee Prayer Breakfast?

This event is presented and produced by a Citizens' Committee comprised of a diverse cross-section of Tennessee’s business professionals, pastors and ministry leaders, political leaders, and community volunteers. 

Is anyone invited?

The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is designed to be a welcoming, uplifting event and is open to all who want to attend.  

Who typically attends the Tennessee Prayer Breakfast?

From year to year this event draws people from a variety of vocations and hometowns across Tennessee.  Officials from the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government attend along with a broad base of professionals from the business and nonprofit sectors, ministry leaders, and community volunteers.

Is there a cost to attend?

A single ticket for the gathering is $35.  A table for 10 guests can be purchased for $350.  Tickets are available by clicking here.

Do I need reservations?

Reservations are advisable because seating is limited, and most of the attendees obtain their tickets in advance.  There may be some tickets remaining for purchase at the door on the day of the event.

Is there parking available, and how much does it cost?

Parking is available (and complimentary) at Allen Arena. Click HERE for a map and directions. P1 and P2 are available parking garages adjacent to the Arena. There will be shuttle service from P3, if needed.

Is there a specific attire expected for attendees?

The attire is typically business casual and business suits.
