The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is an annual event held in the spring during each session of the Tennessee General Assembly in which citizens from across the state are invited to gather together to pray for our governmental officials and state leaders.
This event includes fellowship over breakfast, prayer, music, scripture reading, and an inspirational message by a featured speaker. The music portion typically features a Christian recording artist performing with the Nashville Choir. Community leaders read scripture and lead the prayers for our governmental leaders, military, family, community, education and business.
This event is presented and produced by a Citizens' Committee comprised of a diverse cross-section of Tennessee’s business professionals, pastors and ministry leaders, political leaders, and community volunteers.
The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is designed to be a welcoming, uplifting event and is open to all who want to attend.
From year to year this event draws people from a variety of vocations and hometowns across Tennessee. Officials from the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government attend along with a broad base of professionals from the business and nonprofit sectors, ministry leaders, and community volunteers.
